Erasmus+ 2024/2025: Expand Educational Horizons! Report on the Information Meeting
An information meeting dedicated to the Erasmus+ programme at UPJPII was held on 19 January 2024. During the event, participants had the opportunity to obtain important information about the programme, understand the value of participation and learn about other projects run by the International Cooperation Office.
During a presentation led by Monika Smyth (university Erasmus+ programme coordinator), key aspects of the Erasmus+ programme were presented, such as the procedures and required documents necessary to take part in the programme for an internship or part of studies, as well as where to find information on faculty and institute coordinators. This allowed participants to better understand the application and organisational stages involved in going on a scholarship abroad.
A valuable element of the meeting was the testimony of participants from previous editions of the programme, Aleksandra Mirek-Rogowska (a former participant in the Ersamus+ programme, currently coordinator for international exchange) and Matylda Firek (a student taking advantage of the Erasmus+ placement opportunity), who shared their experiences. Their inspiring stories made us reflect on the benefits of participating in the Erasmus+ programme, both in terms of personal, professional and academic development.
In addition, information was presented on other projects run by the International Cooperation Office, which were talked about by Tomasz Kniaź (coordinator of international cooperation), which opened new perspectives for those willing to engage in a wider range of international activities.
At the end of the meeting, participants had the opportunity to take advantage of consultations and ask questions from the floor. This interactive session allowed any doubts to be resolved and the issues of most interest to participants to be discussed individually.
In conclusion, the information meeting provided participants with relevant data on the Erasmus+ programme, explained why it is worth participating and opened the door to other fascinating projects run by our university. The information provided provides a solid basis for those interested in participating in the programme and broadening their educational and international horizons.
