From the north of Croatia to the south of Poland - a visit within the Erasmus+ Programme
On 22-27 May 2025, as part of the Erasmus+ Programme (STT), we hosted Ms Monika Habek, Head of the Quality Office at the University North in Koprivnica. The guest was welcomed by the team of the International Cooperation Office - the meeting was an opportunity to share experiences of working at both universities, with a particular focus on solving problems arising from the lack of communication between the different organisational units of the university in the most effective way. Ms Monika also met with the team of the Student Affairs Department to learn about the USOS system, exchange experiences of working in administration and dividing tasks in individual units.
The programme of the visit included a tour of our university. Tomasz Kniaź and Klaudia Miśkowicz introduced Ms Monika to the staff of the Rector's Office and the library. They also presented the valuable collections held by the university: the book collections of John Paul II and Jerzy Turowicz donated to the university and now made available to all readers, as well as books-valuables from John Paul II's private library. Joanna Świtała showed the guest around the exhibition ‘Treasures of the Krakow Chapter’, sharing her knowledge of Polish history. A joint visit to Oskar Schindler's Emalia Factory provided an opportunity to learn more about Polish history relating to the Second World War.
